I have had many-a-people ask me "what goes on inside of my head" when I create my artwork, and, as a norm, I tell them that there is a hell-of-alot going on inside my grey matter, and that I am inspired by historical and contemporary socio-political events and happenings. But, there is actually more bumping and bouncing around my cranium, I, either, decided not to talk about or don't really know how to put into words or want to explain because I feel it would reveal more about me than I actually want anyone to know.
Then, one day I had an epiphany; I am a visual person, not that I cannot use words because I can knit some words together, but throwing some paint on canvas or wood might be the way to answer -- "Leni, what is going on inside of your noggin when you paint." Plus, I thought it might be very cathartic for me to purge myself in the way I know best -- PAINT!
So check it out...(more to come).
